It’s only been a few months, but Eyes On Congress has stayed diligent about keeping the record straight about where our Congressman, Cory Gardner stands on the issues. So far, it’s been an interesting journey.
Cory Gardner said “Staying connected to the people of the 4th CD is a top priority. It keeps me grounded and focused on policies that directly affect my constituents.” and then we found out that he isn’t having any town hall meetings and doesn’t plan on having any until the fall.
Cory Gardner quietly joined the Tea party, and we followed him there and let everyone know who he prefers to talk to when he won’t have town hall meetings.
More people took notice of what we’ve been up to and the word started to spread in an interview on the radio.
Cory Gardner said “if you’re 55 and older, Medicare and Social Security benefits will not change for you – ever” so we asked “What about people under 55?”
Gardner’s spokesperson said “The Ryan Budget that he voted for does not cut Medicare funding rather it increases funding for the program”. We called our Representative out on that misinformation as well.
With your help, we will continue to keep an eye on our Representative. Our goal is to make sure that we get straight, honest answers from our Representative to legitimate, genuine concerns that any reasonable person would have about his votes in Washington.
Donate today so we can continue the work of informing our fellow citizens about the kind of representation we are getting in Washington.
